Tomorrow the biggest open-air event of Europe will kick-off in the beautiful city of Ghent. ‘De Gentse Feesten’ are a 10 day public festival with around 4.000 activities spread over more than 350 locations in the historical city center. MobileWeb created the mobile site http://m.gentsefeesten.be. Smarthphone users can check the agenda in a mobile phone optimised format and keep track of the latest updates and changes.
The weather is a key element for the success of the event. The city hall follows the weather forecasts and keeps the organisation informed of bad weather via SMS. MobileWeb was again the preferred partner and was in charge of the message forwarding.
